1. Programs

The School of Data Science accepts applications from postgraduate recommended students for the following taught programs: Master of Science in Data Science, Master of Science in Financial Engineering, and Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. 2. Eligibility for Admission

The admission is open to the students from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen who have been announced as eligible for postgraduate recommendation.

3. Admission Process

The Graduate Admission Committee of the School of Data Science will review and evaluate the materials of recommended students and will determine the list of candidates for further assessment or admission. The number of candidates for further assessment shall not exceed 200% of the planned intake for postgraduate recommended students.

The School will conduct further assessments in late October or November. The Graduate Admission Office of the School of Data Science will notify all applicants of the results of the further assessment.

• First Choice: October 23rd to 29th
• Second Choice: October 30th to November 5th
• Third Choice: November 6th to 12^th

Shortlisted applicants for further assessment are required to confirm their participation via email and attend the assessment as scheduled. Failure to participate within the required timeframe will be considered as a waiver of the recommendation.

The further assessment, organized by the Graduate Admission Committee of the School of Data Science, may include an English interview and comprehensive evaluation of the applicant's professional skill, ethical qualities, and other abilities.

4. Provisional Admission

Planned intake for postgraduate recommended students of the School of Data Science:

The Graduate Admission Committee of the School of Data Science will finalize the list of provisionally admitted students in mid-November. The list will be published for 7 working days, and applicants can visit the school's website to check the list. If there are any inquiries, applicants may raise them with the School or the respective program during the publication period. After the period, the Graduate School will issue the Admission Notification to those without objections.

The postgraduate recommended students must decide whether to accept the offer and pay the first installment of tuition fees within two weeks of receiving the Admission Notification.

5. Reassessment of Recommended Student Qualifications

If it is found fraudulent materials by any candidate, their qualification will be revoked.

Postgraduate recommended students must meet the admission requirements set by the Graduate School (with a minimum grade of B and a Bachelor's degree). If these requirements are not met or if the student is subject to disciplinary actions, their qualification will be revoked.
