"First Impressions of Freshmen", Class 2022, SDS, CUHK-Shenzhen
On September 1st and 2nd, 2022, the School of Data Science held a professor-student exchange activity for the 2022 undergraduate freshers. The professors and staff of the school welcomed them with the most sincere enthusiasm.
On top of the professor-student exchange session and icebreaker games, exclusive gift bags and tasty refreshments were prepared for the new students at the event.
Meet Freshers, Make Friends
The school office organized a face-to-face icebreaking game and a self-introduction session, with an aim to help freshers make friends as soon as possible. Students were divided by colleges into each class and given a chance to introduce themselves one by one briefly and quickly, so that they can meet new faces as many as possible in the shortest amount of time. We help you find the best-fit classmates and dining buddies.
Gift Pack to Freshers, Take It and Be One of Us
The package includes T-shirt, sunproof umbrella and canvas tote, which were designed by the school office. The logo uses the school's iconic blue and red color schemes and curvy lines with a touch of modern, expressing a sense of simplicity and youth. Academic, First-year and Peer Advisors Help to Orient the Freshmen Around the School System
Each new student is assigned an Academic Advisor, a First-year Advisor and a Peer Advisor, who help them get acquainted with school and college life and the systems with ease. May it be questions on daily life or academic study, all the questions can be answered. Even the students with "social anxiety" are in good hands.
