On 20 April 2024, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen) successfully concluded its School of Data Science (SDS) Open Day event. This event coincided with the University’s grand celebration of its tenth anniversary. Students and parents from across the country had the opportunity to interact face-to-face with SDS faculty and students, exploring the mysteries of science, experiencing research achievements firsthand, and gaining a direct appreciation for cutting-edge technologies such as computer vision, AI, and large language models like ChatGPT.

The Open Day featured several special activities, including "Professors' Open Classes," "Student Representative Sharing," and "Frontier Research Demonstrations," which were highly popular among attendees. Approximately 300 people participated in person. Professors and staff from the School of Data Science warmly welcomed every student and parent, providing a comprehensive overview of the SDS’s academic programmes, faculty strength, research capabilities, student achievements, and campus life.
