Exploring the Mysteries of Technology: 2024 SDS Mini Camp in Shanghai
On 12 May 2024, the School of Data Science (SDS) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen), held a Mini Camp in Shanghai. This event aimed to offer outstanding third-year undergraduate students a chance for preliminary admission to the 2025 master's programmes through a rigorous selection process. The event brought together esteemed professors and academic experts from various fields. Participants included SDS Associate Professor and Assistant Dean Jianfeng Mao, SDS Associate Professor and Director of the AI and Robotics Programme, Wenye Li, Associate Professor Zhizheng Wu, Associate Professor (Teaching) Ka Wai Tsang, Assistant Professor Haoxiang Yang, Career Advisor Qixin He, and Programme Professor Guixin Liang. During the camp, professors engaged with students through in-depth discussions and lively debates, providing detailed insights into the latest advancements in data science, financial engineering, artificial intelligence, and robotics. This event not only allowed students to interact closely with industry experts but also offered a comprehensive understanding of their prospective research fields.
