iJourney - OPPO Company Visit

On May 8th, the visit to OPPO Corporation, part of the iJourney series organized by the SDS UG Career Team and co-sponsored by the Career Planning and Development Office, was successfully held. Guided by staff, students initially explored the exhibition hall, gaining a comprehensive understanding of OPPO's corporate culture, development history, and various achievements. A senior designer, serving for 15 years, shared insights on the industrial design concepts of OPPO products and showcased the design evolution of its product line.
Next, the students attended a communication and information exchange meeting in the conference room. Product manager Yifeng (a graduate of CUHKSZ) enthusiastically introduced his role and responsibilities, sharing details about OPPO's diverse business lines and employment prospects, and engaging in an in-depth discussion on job duties and job-seeking experiences. Later, during the discussion with the campus recruiter, students were given detailed information about internship and campus recruitment positions, processes, compensation and benefits, development paths, and resume writing tips. Through this session, students gained a deeper understanding of the challenges faced during the job search process and potential solutions, as well as a clearer view of the company's recruitment needs.
At the end of the event, the students visited OPPO's sea view cafeteria and gym located in the China Resources Tower, experiencing the daily working environment of OPPO employees. This visit offered students a comprehensive understanding of OPPO's corporate culture, product design philosophy, and office environment. While gaining knowledge, they also had more thoughts about their future career plans.
