SDS is deeply rooted in cutting-edge fields such as operations research, statistics, computer science, machine learning, decision science, and operations management. Taking talent cultivation and scientific research as mission, SDS is committed to cultivating world-class talents and create more value for the society.

Currently, the SDS offers education programs from undergraduate to graduate levels, including four undergraduate programs: Data Science and Big Data Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, Statistics and Financial Engineering; four master programs: M.Sc. in Data Science, M.Sc. in Financial Engineering, M.Sc. in Bioinformatics and M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics; and two doctoral programs in Data Science and Computer Science. Core courses in data science such as machine learning, artificial intelligence will be offered across different programs, providing students at all levels a systematic and state-of-the-art education on data science, broadening student's perspectives, ultimately opening the future of data science research and applications for the students.
