Center of Excellence in AI Safety, Ethics and Govenance Research
The Center for AI Safety, Ethics, and Governance is dedicated to addressing the critical challenges posed by the rapid deployment and widespread application of artificial intelligence technologies, including safety vulnerabilities, ethical dilemmas, and governance complexities. The center focuses on interdisciplinary research across three key areas: AI safety, ethics, and governance, with a particular emphasis on adversarial robustness, privacy and copyright protection, value alignment, fairness, the proliferation of misinformation, and compliance mechanisms. By integrating state-of-the-art technical innovation with ethical auditing and regulatory frameworks, the center seeks to develop comprehensive solutions for ensuring trustworthy and responsible AI systems.
With a team of world-class researchers and faculty members from diverse domains, the center aims to establish a global leadership position in AI safety research. Through collaborative efforts in academic excellence, industry partnerships, and policy advocacy, the center strives to build a robust foundation for addressing systemic risks and advancing human-centric AI governance.
