Introduction

CUHK-Shenzhen is committed to carrying out cutting-edge research in the fields of Computer Science and Engineering. To realize this goal, faculties and scholars of high-caliber have been globally recruited; curriculum has been meticulously designed with advanced teaching and research facility. In this programme, machine learning, artificial intelligence and data science will be the key application directions. Students will acquire a solid foundation in math and extend knowledge in cross-disciplinary applications. They will also master the knowledge and skills of computer which enable them to obtain strong analysis, design, programming and application capabilities of computer systems.

Graduates will be capable to excel in computer in various fields of society, and in pursuing research and development in academia.

The programme provides students with a stream of concentration (Student may graduate with or without a stream): Artificial Intelligence Steam.

The School of Data Science has cultivated 297 undergraduate graduates majoring in Computer Science and Engineering since its establishment.

77.53% of the CSE graduates who chose further studies were enrolled in the top 50 ranked universities in the world, including University of Pennsylvania, The University of Chicago, Cornell University, Johns Hopkins University, Duke University, New York University, Northwestern University, Carnegie Mellon University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Imperial College London, National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, The University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The University of Melbourne, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Technical University of Munich, University of Copenhagen, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, University of Toronto, etc.

The CSE graduates who chose employment worked in well-known enterprises and public institutions, including Huawei, Tencent, ByteDance, Alibaba, Microsoft, OPPO, Xiaomi, NetEase, ZTE, SF Express, Pinduoduo, Meituan, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, China Construction Bank, Shenzhen Water Science and Technology, Shenzhen Gas, Shenzhen Futian Tax Service, Shenzhen Public Schools, etc. The average annual salary is RMB 215,500 yuan.
