Taught Postgraduate
M.Sc. in Data Science is a joint programme launched by School of Data Science and School of Management and Economics, in collaboration with Shenzhen Research Institute of Big Data and Shenzhen Finance Institute. Faculty members from two schools and research institutes will serve as instructors together.
The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen) launched, in partnership with The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), the Master of Science Programme in Financial Engineering. This programme is one of the first such master degree programmes offered by CUHK-Shenzhen. Upon fulfilling graduation requirements, students of this programme receive degrees from CUHK.
The master programme in Bioinformatics is a joint programme launched by School of Medicine and School of Data Science. This programme serves as a solid foundation in cross-disciplinary learning, creative thinking, practical problem-solving skills, and a keen sense of bioinformatics for the emerging biotechnologies and their future developments. With the well-designed study scheme of this program, students are expected to be well-educated to achieve the forefront of leadership in the fields of bioinformatics and biomedical sciences.
M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (to be approved by the Ministry of Education) is jointly offered by the School of Data Science and the School of Science and Engineering, CUHK-Shenzhen. The Programme targets both students and junior professionals who wish to take advanced training in computer science and engineering, artificial intelligence, and robotics at the post-graduate level. The applicants are expected to have a solid computer science and engineering or related background. Students who graduate from this two-year Master's Programme will learn fundamental theory and cutting-edge techniques over a wide range of topics in the field. Students will also conduct independent application-oriented research projects to demonstrate their problem-solving capabilities. Graduates are expected to contribute to AI and robotics research institutes and industries in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the country.
