Dr. Pinjia He is an Assistant Professor at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. He obtained his PhD from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2018 and worked as a postdoc at ETH Zurich for three years. His main research interests include software engineering, AI for SE, large language models, and trustworthy artificial intelligence.

He has published over 60 papers in top-tier conferences and journals such as ICSE, FSE, ICLR, ACL, OSDI, and CSUR. He received the IEEE TCSE Rising Star Award, the IEEE Open Source Software Service Award, and the ISSRE Most Influential Paper Award. His work has been cited over 7,000 times according to Google Scholar. The open-source projects he leads have been starred 7,000+ times on GitHub and have been downloaded 90,000+ times by 450+ organizations. He serves as the Associate Editor of TOSEM, the Social Media Co-Chair of FSE 2025, and the PC member of all the top software engineering conferences (ICSE/FSE/ASE/ISSTA).
