2025年9月5日，香港中文大学（深圳）数据科学学院（SDS）成功举办International Student Mixer（国际学生交流活动），旨在促进国际学生、交换生与学院师生的交流互动，进一步加强学院凝聚力与多元文化氛围。

活动由SDS 院长Guillermo Gallego教授致辞拉开序幕，他鼓励同学们在多元化环境中积极探索学术与个人成长之路。国际招生负责人Konstantinos Courcoubetis教授随后致欢迎辞，向现场同学表达了真诚的期许与祝福。

本次活动吸引了近百名国际学生参与，学院20余位来自世界各地的教授，以及大学学术交流处、SDS 本科团队与国际招生组的老师们齐聚一堂，与学生面对面交流课程规划、学术发展及国际项目机会，帮助国际生们更好地融入学院，提升留学体验。

在茶歇与问答环节，师生之间互动热烈，思想与经验在轻松氛围中自由碰撞。活动最后，全体参会师生共同合影，为这场多元、包容又充满活力的聚会画上圆满句号。

“Walking into the SDS International Student Mixer felt like stepping into the heart of our community, where freshmen, seniors, peers, and professors all came together in one space. It was an amazing opportunity to connect across different stages of university life.

One highlight was meeting professors whose classes I will be taking in the future. Our conversations broadened my perspective, as they shared insights on essential courses for building a strong foundation, their teaching approaches, and the values of the SDS community.

It was equally inspiring to meet the new freshmen, whose enthusiasm for learning and university life was truly infectious. Sharing my own experiences with them made me reflect on my journey over the past year and imagine how they will navigate the year ahead, just as I once did. Conversations with seniors were also valuable, as they generously shared their insights and perspectives on their academic paths. On top of that, exchanging stories with peers over light snacks added a warm and enjoyable touch to the event.

Overall, the Mixer was a meaningful and enriching experience, allowing me to gain guidance from professors, encouragement from seniors, and energy from freshmen. As an international student, it also reminded me of the importance of community in adjusting to a new environment. Events like this help us feel welcomed, supported, and connected, strengthening my sense of belonging in SDS and giving me greater confidence for the journey ahead.”

02 🌍 SDS国际学生与交换生概览

截至2025年秋季学期，数据科学学院（SDS）汇聚了来自全球20余个国家和地区的211名本科国际生，以及来自新加坡、俄罗斯、德国、法国、芬兰等国的27名交换生。

我们的国际社群成员横跨五大洲，从东南亚的印度尼西亚、泰国，到中亚的哈萨克斯坦、蒙古，再到欧洲的英国、希腊、拉脱维亚，以及南亚的印度、马来西亚等地。

多元的文化背景在此碰撞交融，共同构建了SDS充满活力的国际化学习环境。

未来，学院将继续为国际学生与本地学生搭建交流平台，让多元文化在这里交融、共进，助力每一位成员成长与发展。
