摘要：
As the development of deep learning, AI music has been a hot topic in both academia and industry. In this talk, I will first introduce the typical research topics in AI music understanding and generation, and then introduce our research project on AI music called Muzic (https://github.com/microsoft/muzic), which covers the following topics: music understanding, lyric transcription, lyric generation, melody generation, accompaniment generation, singing voice synthesis, timbre synthesis, etc. I will further analyze the challenges and limitations of current research on AI music and point out some potential research directions.
简介：
Xu Tan is a Principal Researcher and Research Manager at Microsoft Research Asia. His research interests cover deep learning, natural language processing, speech, and AI music. He has achieved human-level quality in machine translation and speech synthesis, and won several champions on WMT machine translation competition and Blizzard speech synthesis challenge. He has designed pre-trained language model MASS, text to speech system FastSpeech/NaturalSpeech, and AI music project Muzic, which receive broad attention in the community, and has transferred many research works to the important products (e.g., Azure, Bing) in Microsoft. He is a member of the standing committee on Computational Art in China Computer Federation (CCF).
