施家晟现任香港中文大学（深圳）数据科学学院助理教授。在此之前，他于香港中文大学获得统计学博士学位，并在宾夕法尼亚大学生物统计系及费城儿童医院Policy La做博士后研究。他曾在一些统计学顶级期刊，如Annals of Statistics上发表文章。
